The Vets took two teams to the Singing Hills seniors open to defend the title they won last year. Both teams finished a very creditable third equal 7 points behind the winners.
David Rowling and David Samsom won first place on the two 9 hole courses they played with a fantastic 46 points (betterball). A great effort from all who played.
The Captain and Charlie Lidyard took on Chris and Roger Singleton in the first Captain and Pro charity challenge match with a hard fought match finishing all square!
Congratulations to James Weal on winning the Pachesham Cup with a very impressive 41 points, and to Rob Cooke for winning the Holmden Eclectic two round competition with a very well deserved nett 64! Well done both!
Congratulations to Vice Captain Keith Stinson in winning the 36-hole Ye Older Wooden Putter competition with a very impressive nett 4 under par score. Thanks to all those who braved playing the 36 holes in a day.
The George Simon Trophy mixed competition was held on Bank Holiday Monday and most of us escaped the rain this time. Jasmine Kim (45pts) and Charlie Hwang (37pts) were the winners again but unfortunately had left before receiving the Trophy. Runner's-up were Jane Jones (38pts) and Simon Jones (41pts).
The Spring Meeting took place on Sunday 12 May. This time perfect weather and the course looking great. Jane Northeast won the Spring Scratch Trophy (best gross score with 82) with Camilla Mott taking best nett score of 68. Jenny Tracey 73, and Sylvia Kempsell 74, also winners in the Bronze section.

A big thank you to all those braving persistent rain to play in the Tom Cottrell Salver (mixed Greensomes Medal). The conditions were extremely challenging but happy to announce Jasmine Kim and Charlie Hwang the winners with a score of 71 closely followed by Jane and Steve Northeast and the Captains Tim Smith and Jennifer Tracey.
