Mary Percival Trophy

Jane Jones was the worthy winner of the Mary Percival Trophy held at the end of August. The scores were very close.

Jenny and Jane are Foursomes Runners-Up

Lady Captain Jenny Tracey and Jane Northeast were again runners-up in the Sunningdale Heath Ladies Foursomes competition, following their second placed spot in 2022.

Jenny and Jane played 54 holes of Foursomes golf over two days against other pairs who travelled far and wide to take part in this 60-year-old competition. They scored 105 Stableford points over the two days, being pipped by the 107 points scored by the winners from neighbouring Sunningdale. Sue Wakerley and Sue Choularton were seventh with 94 points.

A beautiful autumn day

The last major ladies event took place on Saturday 14 September where four trophies were up for grabs. From left to right Jane Northeast won the Silver gross and Catrin Roberts winning the nett (a fantastic Eagle on the 11th). Kathryn Bellwood won the Bronze nett with Sylvia Kempsell winning the gross. Congratulations to them all.

Camilla and Penny come close in the Ping.

Well done to Camilla Mott and Penny Harrison who were runners-up on countback (last three holes) in the national women's Ping 4BBB tournament at Thonock Park in Lincolnshire.

Our dynamic duo scored 44pts to just miss out to a higher-handicapped pair from Muswell Hill. As 9,000 pairs had entered the nationwide competition, it was an amazing achievement for Camilla and Penny to win the second prize.

It took a score of 47pts in our June club Ping competition for Camilla and Penny to make the cut for the best 52 pairs to reach Monday's national final, where they were supported by caddies Sue Wakerley and Sue Choularton.
