Mixed Silver Salvers

Bank Holiday Monday saw 14 teams take part in the Mixed Silver Salvers Greensome medal with Guy Williams and Catrin Roberts retaining their salvers with a very impressive nett 65, closely follow by Nic May and Camilla Mott with a nett 67. Well done to all who took part!

Another hole in one

Last Wednesday saw another hole in one at Leatherhead with Will Hollington taking the honour!

Two days of golf for the ladies at Tudor Park

Sixteen ladies played team and individual competitions over two days in August and everyone enjoyed the course, food, stay (swim) and of course the weather.

Turner Bowl Eclectic

The winner of this year’s Turner Bowl which ran until end of July is Jane Northeast. It was very close with only half a point in it.

Spring Challenge Knockout. 

The final was between Jane Northeast and Sue Wakerley and the victor was Sue Wakerley.

The Runciman Cup

Held on Saturday, 10 August. Zeenat Nanji was announced a worthy winner with 42 points.

What a fantastic Men’s Captains day!

A huge thank you to all those that took part in my Captains day on Sunday 4th August with well over £2,000 being raised for the Grace Dear Trust and Epsom Riding for the disabled. We were lucky enough to have Graham Dear present (from the Grace Dear Trust) who explained more about the work that the trust do.

Congratulations go to Simon Hooper who emulated his father in winning the day with 41 points on Countback from Rob Cooney, with Ben Roberts third with 40 points on countback from Andrew Mildenhall who was fourth. Eddie Larter won the shootout on the putting green having early missed a hole in one by 1 inch!

The past Captains all were their Captains blazers and there was a great atmosphere on the patio after all the presentations.

Cawley Cup

Congratulations to Ben Roberts on winning the Cawley Cup with a hugely impressive 49 points!

Lady Captain's Day

Jennifer Tracey’s chosen theme was “tutti fruiti” and all entered into the spirit by wearing fruity attire from head to toe. There was a putting and chipping fun competition which was won by some impressive putting from Penny Harrison. Beat the Pro (Michael Lowe) on the 9th proved a challenge with only two being successful Jane Jones and Jasmine Kim. Both competitions raised money for the Captains charities.

Other golf holes had sponsored prizes for various challenges ie. Nearest the pin, nearest to the right hand bunker on the 12th without going in. There were prizes for best attire individual being Jane van Egmond and group being Camilla Mott, Kathy Bellwood, Catrin Roberts and Penny Harrison pictured below. Also pictures are the 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners of the stableford competition, Kinga Nemes, Jasmine Kim and Sue Choularton.
