Winter League Success

Congratulations to the Vets team that won the M4 Seniors Winter League Final recently. The final was played at Wycombe Heights Golf Club against Rickmansworth with Leatherhead winning 3-1.

It's a great team result, and thanks go to all those that have been involved both at the Division stage and later in the knockout rounds too.

The winning shield is now on display in the members' bar at Leatherhead.

Colin Wood Trophy

On Sunday 23 June the much-coveted Colin Wood Trophy was won by Derek Hughes with a great score of 42 points with Luke Rogers a close second with 41 points. Colin was on hand to present his trophy to Derek on the patio afterwards.

Hole in One!

On the same day as the Challenge match Ed Van Egmond recorded a hole in one on the ninth. Congratulations Ed! Everyone enjoyed his success and shred a drink with him!

Captain and Pro Challenge

The third Challenge Match against Competitions Secretary Vernon Crittenden and Ulrich Vosloo took place over the weekend with the Captain and Pro having to play out of their skin to record a well fought halved match. Charlie Lydard carded a 64 (7 under par)! We are obviously bringing the best out of everyone that plays us!

Captain and Pro Challenge

The second Challenge Match against Bradley Halford and Neale Higgs took place over the weekend with the Captain and Pro being thoroughly beaten and out played losing 5&3.

Congratulations to Bradley and Neale and thank you for your very generous donation to the charity.

June competitions in full swing

June is a busy time for competitions starting with The Gertrude Beer Trophy held on 1 June as a 36 hole competition. Camilla Mott was the deserved winner with Sue Choularton in second place.

The third LGOY competition of the year the Sheila Douglas Trophy took place on Sunday, 9 June. Jennifer Tracey successfully defended her title winning with 43pts followed closely by Catrin Roberts scoring. 42pts.


The latest LGOY held on 15 June The Alf Perry medal was won by Jasmine Kim with an impressive nett 65 closely followed by Catrin Roberts and Jane Jones. Jasmine and Camilla pictured below with their trophies.

Singing Hills Senior Open

The Vets took two teams to the Singing Hills seniors open to defend the title they won last year. Both teams finished a very creditable third equal 7 points behind the winners.

David Rowling and David Samsom won first place on the two 9 hole courses they played with a fantastic 46 points (betterball). A great effort from all who played.


Captain and Pro Charity Challenge

The Captain and Charlie Lidyard took on Chris and Roger Singleton in the first Captain and Pro charity challenge match with a hard fought match finishing all square!

Pachesham Cup and Holmden Trophy

Congratulations to James Weal on winning the Pachesham Cup with a very impressive 41 points, and to Rob Cooke for winning the Holmden Eclectic two round competition with a very well deserved nett 64! Well done both!
