Captain's Drive In 25 November

Jenny and I would like to thank everyone who came to support us at the Captains Drive in on Saturday.

Thanks to you all for raising £183 for our charities, The Grace Dear Trust and Epsom Riding for the disabled, by trying to guess the lengths of our drives!  Ian Larter successfully guessed Jenny’s distance of 134 yards and Malcolm Walker Tim’s drive of 164 yards.

It was a great fun day in the sunshine and 23 teams took park in Texas scramble. The winners were: David Mundy, Lee O’Conner, Robert Russell and Paul White with a nett 54 winning on countback from Daniel Boland, Lorna Dolinska, Michael Lloyd and Ed Van Egmond with Steven Collier, Michael Gledhill, Nick Keen and Shaun Walsh in third place with a nett 55.

After the presentations Steve Northeast presented the Firefighters Charity with their cheque for £4,169 raised last year. Sue Choularton had already given her cheque to the Kidney Fund the previous week at their AGM.

Once again, a huge Thank you and we look forward to many great fundraising Events in the coming months!

 Best wishes, Tim and Jenny
